Well, consider this - when all your peers are naming their kids "Apple", "Suri", "Tanazza", having a normal name for your kid like "Charlette" makes the kid stand out. So the norm now becomes the exotic.

Oh, I quite like that name. Er, to totally dork out I am now on a name-board devoted to baby names. Well, in the same way BG was 'devoted' to the buffyverse - needless to say we talk other stuff too.

But yeah, that is a very pretty name.
