If anyone could explain this to us, we would be ever so grateful.Two numbers are relatively prime. If the first number is multiplied by 3, the result is divisible by 6. Can the second number be an odd number? Explain your reasoning.

I got as far as thinking the second number almost has to be an odd number, because the first number has to be an even number in order to be multiplied by three and still divisible by six, and if the first number is even, then the second number has to be odd, otherwise they'd both be divisible by two.
