I'm thrilled Obama won. Truly. But, because of Prop Hate passing (as well as the other props against gay marriage and adoption), Tuesday was as big a step backwards for civil rights as it was forwards.

Although I am thrilled at him being elected - I am wary of the hype that seems to paint him as some sort of messiah.

He is still a politician.

I must say it was pretty cool watching that all unfold.

Well, I watched most of it unfold, CNN called it when I was getting Mal to bed (I was gone for 10 MINUTES!!) I really hadn't thought it would be called so early!
