...with my new portable TENS unit*. I've had back problems for almost 20 years and my cousin was sweet enough to buy me my own after I used hers. After a long day at work, on my feet, I might add, it's awesome to hook myself up. In fact, I think I might even start wearing it TO work.
*"TENS stands for (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation). which are predominately used for nerve related pain conditions (acute and chronic conditions). It works by sending stimulating pulses across the surface of the skin and along the nerve strands. The stimulating pulses help prevent pain signals from reaching the brain. They also help stimulate your body to produce higher levels of its own natural painkillers, called "Endorphins"."

You haven't electrocuted yourself with yours yet then? Mine detached itself from the pads all the time. It added a certain frisson to my labour.

Hmmm, I might have to look into one of those for my back problems (which I've only had for the last year or so, but it's getting annoying.) Of course, I guess I could try other, less expensive things like back strengthening exercises, regular stretching, ice packs & heating pads, or even aspirin... but your thing sounds like more fun .
