Really, how can one truly lampoon PETA when they do it themselves so well? I'm still tempted to think that this some kind of massive Onion hoax, because otherwise my mind just boggles.

I liked Ben & Jerry's response (which I am too lazy to google). Basically, "We like your creative approach, but think human milk should be for human babies."

That's because B&J are more wise than PETA.

I'm sorry, while I can agree, in principle, with PETA's mission, everything they do just makes them incredibly incredible. They have become a joke that no one can take seriously.

Besides, HIV can be transmitted via breast milk.

You know, if this were another group, I'd be tempted to see this as some sort of Swiftian Modest Proposal parody meant to highlight the more grotesque practices of the modern dairy industry. But, yeah, it's PETA, so they probably mean it. I honestly don't know why they bother anymore: the group's become such a joke, they probably hurt their cause more than they help.
