Naked sales clerks.

I just saw a news story about a store at the mall in Scottsdale Arizona. The store is called Lush and sells soaps. For one hour, the store clerks got naked and only wore aprons that had the company name and the phrase "ask me why I'm naked!" on them. The reason for this event was to raise awareness about how much waste product packaging produces and to promote "naked" soaps. The video showed that the women were covered from the front but their backsides were completely exposed.

Now, I'm curious, how would you react if your boss approached you with this idea, for you to get naked in the store?

Way too much air conditioning in the office I work in now, so no way! Also, the last store I worked in sold sex toys, so that might have been very interesting...

Seriously? I'd say no. For many, many reasons.

Lush soap is awesome, though. Mmm. Lush.

I doubt those were the regular sale clerks, they were probably hired for the event and paid in consequence (I hope).

If my boss approached me about this, I'd reply as follows;

"Sure, if you get naked. You're f**king gorgeous, newly-wed or not! Oh, and as long as Matt gets naked too. Although I suspect he may look a bit too skinny. Yeah make him keep his suit on. Purrr. Can I go round and pick all the men who I want to be naked? PLEASE??!!"

Although I don't like being naked. At all. Boys seem to like it though.

See, I was thinking that it would fall more into the line of sexual harassment by asking your subordinates to get naked on the job.

Well, that's a complete no-no from start to finish.

And girls too!! ;)

And Ghost- I'm having trouble understanding what this is all about. Perhaps a link to the video you mentioned would clear it up for me. :D

I don't have a link, sorry.

Basically, this store had their sales clerks staff the store for an hour wearing nothing but their aprons as a way to raise awareness about how much waste packaging creates. This was basically a promotion for their "naked soaps" line, soaps that come without packaging I am assuming. Someone that is familiar with their products would probably be better to explain it.

Or if you were just looking for a link to show the naked girls, it didn't show anything. The most you saw was a woman wearing an apron and the angle was such that you could just barely see part of her butt cheek sticking out, so you could tell she was actually naked under there. Besides, this is the internet. If you want to see naked women, just search for anything and you will get naked women in the results. You even get porn as a result from a search for pancreatic cancer.

27 Lush stores in the US took part in that. Here's a news video: http://www.tampabays10.com/news/waterco ... 5&catid=58

There were male employees, too!

I've skimmed some of the articles, and in some cities they were made to put on underwear because of nudity laws.

I think they were the real employees. I would guess it was voluntary, they were probably offered some kind of bonus.
