My friend writes a list of things she wants to achieve or experience in the New Year. She writes them down and puts them somewhere she can see them, ticking them off as she goes. The theory is that if you have a vague idea in your head of something you want to do, say "attend a salsa class", you are less likely to do it if it's just an idea you have in your head.

The list of things can include tiny things and big things. Mine, for example, includes:

• Begin kickboxing classes
• Bake brownies
• Learn how to do the splits
• Taste eel
• Put my photos in nice photo albums

2010 Goals

--Get together with Jesse, finally, and make it the strongest relationship I've had, keeping myself strong in it.
--Be truthful, honest, and open with people, including myself and my needs.
--Attend actual martial arts classes outside of New York Jedi
--Get in some really good (hopefully paying) productions, and find new monologues and prep better for auditions to do so.
--Get promoted to keyholder at Lush
--Get a credit card, not just a debit card
--Create four new fights to be major showcases at cons/events/etc.

Goals I can do. Much better idea than resolutions.

• Sort out personal finances, and household finances
• Get each of the animals to the vet at least once
• Continue the work I started in therapy on my own, and be good to myself, treat myself as well as I deserve to be treated

There's a start at least.

*Check in on the WD forum, 'cause it's been awhile. Hey, done!
