Typical bloke post ~ no puppies or knitting

A temporary board while I'm working out issues with the real WD.

The posts made here will not appear on the real WD when it re-opens.

Please note that I won't be providing any technical support for this board, as I would prefer to focus my attention on fixing the other board. So, if you're confused by anything, just try to figure things out, search the phpBB forums, ask other users for help, or just bear with it.

Typical bloke post ~ no puppies or knitting

Post by Sam_Spade »

I had an egg and bacon sarnie today, it was yummy, medium sliced white crusty bread, a small splash of brown sauce, 2 rashers and 1 egg. mmm

There are so many ways to enjoy eggs and bacon, rolls, soft or crusty, baps, baguettes, brown bread, wholemeal, sesame seed, etc, etc.

How do you like yours?

Any sauce or extras?

Agreed. I am lately very susceptible to suggestion.

Although not pregnant .....

The eggs have to be well-cooked. I have a fear of undercooked yolks, and white specially. A wee bit of oozy, warm yolk is fine, but runny whites is messing with me, man. So fried or boiled with a solid yolk.

And I also have a fear of chewy bacon rind. Either no rind, or really crisp.

On some form of white bap, I think. Yes.

.

I love boiled eggs, with the white just set, and the yolk really runny.

I follow the Delia method, submerge (large) eggs in a pan of cold water, place on a high heat until water boils, turn down to a gentle simmer and boil for a further 3 minutes , drain at once.

I have mine in a sammich, with a little salt. :ugeek:

I have one of those breakfast sandwich makers that toast your bread, poaches your egg, and warms up your (veggie) sausage all at the same time. All I have to do is assemble and add cheese. Yum!

Um... sorry, I clicked on it again, only because I momentarily forgot our game and thought it was a new post. Memory loss--check!
