A quarter century in the making

Inspired by: OMG OMG OMG
1985, a geeky high school graduate starts his freshman year at SUNY at Buffalo. With aspirations of becoming a theater lighting designer, and a desire to get out of his parent's house, he started a longer journey then he could imagine. Well, 24 years several false starts, and 3 different schools later, I will be graduating in May 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Technology with a concentration in computer networking from Central Connecticut State University. Granted, this is a bit of a change from pointing an ellipsoidal light as a stage and putting color in it. None the less, if I haven't totally turned you off, this is a joyous thing for me, and I want to share. I will be walking up to get my diploma, probably one of the oldest if not the oldest person doing so (seeing as many of my age who do finally get their degree don't attend the commencement ceremony).
Anyway, there it is - not exactly 25 years, but close enough. Thanks for reading.
