Fun little game

A temporary board while I'm working out issues with the real WD.

The posts made here will not appear on the real WD when it re-opens.

Please note that I won't be providing any technical support for this board, as I would prefer to focus my attention on fixing the other board. So, if you're confused by anything, just try to figure things out, search the phpBB forums, ask other users for help, or just bear with it.

Fun little game

Post by Techboy »

I think P@ did this as a question to a BOQ one time, but it still is fun. My cousin posted this on her Facebook status, and I'm just spreading the love.

Here's the game: Grab the book nearest you. Right now. • Turn to page 56. • Find the fifth sentence. • Post that sentence as a reply. • Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST book!

This is mine:
The following table shows the the results of both Booleen and bitwise operators.

Expression1 (Bit1) | xor Expression2 (Bit2) | Result
True (1) | True (1) | False(0)
True (1) | False (0) | True (1)
False (0) | True (1) | True (1)
False (0) | False (0) | False (0)

Thus, the external constant name is allowed to precede the instance of the design under test in which the constant is declared.

When being driven into the concrete, the widely spaced threads on the screws cut into the walls of the hole to provide a tight friction fit.

Although you check the chest carefully for any hidden devices, you are unable to see the trap inside it.*

*Page 56 is just a picture so this is the 5th sentence from the page before it. And curse you Techboy for reminding me of logic gate functions and other horrors from my Air Force CDCs. [shakes fist icon]

I know, right! It was one of my husband's textbooks from tech school. No wonder he hasn't dropped out yet...

I don't have a book close at hand, but it works with a magazine, if it's thick enough.
