Dvd ripping advice

A temporary board while I'm working out issues with the real WD.

The posts made here will not appear on the real WD when it re-opens.

Please note that I won't be providing any technical support for this board, as I would prefer to focus my attention on fixing the other board. So, if you're confused by anything, just try to figure things out, search the phpBB forums, ask other users for help, or just bear with it.

Dvd ripping advice

Post by Pataouet »

Friends of mine want a copy of my Buffy dvd.
The question is what do I use to get them in .avi?
Dvd Ripper doen't seem to work on my computer: "Licence key registered, thank you blah blah..."
And when I want ot rip the said dvd: "licence key not good, we stronly advise you to copy/paste it blah blah...."
Ok, what did I wrong and what do I do now?

Thanks guys for any advice / software that would work.

I'n no expert in this field, but you need to be a bit careful as this may involve a breach of copyright

Okay, so let's say, I'm going on a scientific expedition on a boat for two months and I'll need some recreation and I would like to copy my buffy dvd on my laptop. And since plain copy takes to much room on my harddrive, I need something to get them in .avi.

Does that sound better ?

Being a heterosexual male, I am incapable of doubting, or otherwise compromising a woman from the most beautiful nation on earth (take trip on the Paris underground if you doubt me!) I thus concede entirely.
