Because I am a restless person who likes to run away when things get boring, or alternately, too hard. So yeah, bad me.
Anyway, I'm at that lovely point of quitting where I only have two days left and so have a lot to get caught up on/ pass on; but you know, also I only have two days left, so who cares??
I have nothing else to say, except:
What kind of pie are you making me for Thanksgiving?
What kind of job could I get that just involves pie- pie all the time, all day, every day, no other work but pie?
So I changed jobs again- now with pie!
Re: So I changed jobs again- now with pie!
I'm not making pie. I don't like cooking and I am single and live alone, so my Thanksgiving Day dinner will probably be a frozen one.
For your second question, pie baker?

So you are a restless person? Easily bored? Nothing like me then *cough*
My favourite pie is pecan, although you would love my sister, who is very over-worked, and perked up considerably at the promise of some pie (she specified chicken) from her elder, devoted sister (ie me).

Yay! We are the same. Now that there are two of us we can form a coalition and act all superior to the 'others.'
People who don't change their mind every since six months? Losers!

Please heat up frozen dinner before eating. I will tell you from experience it is harder to eat if you forget. Also, I would trade alone thanksgiving for suffering through the ones with my 'not' families (I spend one with husband's family and the next day with my step-mother's family). I smile, nod, fake headaches through them very well. Know on this day I am jealous of you.Ghost wrote:I'm not making pie. Also... pie baker. Very interesting. Do I need to know how to cook to do this job?

Can I join the coalition? The longest I've ever been at one job is 5 years and 10 months. That was from May '90 until March '96. The closest I ever got to that again wasn't even 3 full years. I've promised my husband to stick this job out for 5 unless I can get another position within the State since I'll keep my "time" if I were to transfer. I'll be vested for a small retirement if I stick it out that long. I have 3 yrs and 11 mos to go.
Oh, and if you'll come visit me for Thanksgiving, I promise to make you pork pie. Hell, it doesn't even have to be Thanksgiving.
