I don't have a book close at hand, but it works with a magazine, if it's thick enough.

How many more eps is that?mouse wrote:From what I hear, they are going to air the remaining episodes, though.
The ones which have aired so far are great, and amount to sort of a developing story. I hope we at least get a decent ending.

Re: Tim Minear writing new Alien Nation pilot.
That is great news!!
I found the original film pilot much better than the TV series, which failed to keep my interest, despite having potential for good storytelling.
Hopefully, with Tim Minear it's gonna be better.
Now, how about reviving the series V too...

Re: Dollhouse 2.0
I liked it. I've been very happy that I like it more every week since I did have some reservations in the beginning. And oddly enough, I'm actually starting like Topher, who kind of reminded me of Warren in the beginning. Topher is fun! He's the one geeky character in any show that I really like. I...

Re: Dollhouse
I wasn't impressed by the first ep, either. It seemed like a million other sci-fi shows that are out there.
But the second one, wow! I had forgotten how Joss can write. There are powerful hints that everything is not as it seems. I'm sure to be hooked now.

Re: Extreme Makeover
That's a really inspiring story, Cindy.
I well remember the place we went to swim. It's where we had lost that British guy for a few hours. I'm sorry (and a bit ashamed) that I can't remember his name.
Hope you're completely better by now.

Sarah Palin Prank
Hey, folks. How are you all? I don't know if you heard about this, a duo of Montreal comedians tricked Sarah Palin into thinking she was talking to French President Sarkozy. If you haven't, just google it, it's all over the place. I heard the guys speaking on local TV afterwards. They said she...

Re: Inter-cultural Communication
My first reaction too was to avoid overgeneralization. But I see your point about being too generic. I can see the need for practical knowledge like the examples you mentioned. Maybe, as you mention traits of cultures and particularities, you could point out a “level of accuracy”. For instance, you ...
