Re: Itajime shibori
It doesn't require all that much skill, artistry, or patience, which is why I like it, since I'm not endowed with a great deal of any of those fine characteristics. And it can be applied to anything, although squares of fabric are the most satisfying for a compulsivish person such as I, because they...

all-in-one computers
Does anyone here have experience with these? I'm strangely drawn to them--the idea of having a single monitor in my house is very appealing--but I tend to mistrust combo devices. Besides, all-in-ones are more expensive than desktops. On the other hand, my television is ten years old, and an all-in-o...

Yeah, it's not bad for what it is. I'm just crabby these days. In a different mood, those cheap devices would merely have made me chuckle.

Re: Merlin
I liked ep. 2 less (was able to see the whole thing because it's available on demand). Some cheap devices were used to further the plot.

So, what did you think? I've only watched episode 1 (and I'm sad to say the end of episode 2 is going to be cut off because of stupid golf), but it seemed pleasant. Felt like a kids' show, but I like kids' shows. I do think it's straining a little too much to change up the Arthurian legend, but that...

Re: Buffy Back WITHOUT Joss? Ent. Weekly & Hollywood Reporter
WTF sarah? You deleted my idol and replaced him with three dots... Merely isolating the text to which I was responding. No offense to Mr. Head intended. Indeed, Giles was always my fave, and when I saw the ad for Merlin for the first time last night, I was delighted to see he's in it. For some reas...

Re: David Carradine found dead.
When I read that his PR people are insisting it wasn't suicide, all I could think was, what's worse, that a 72-year-old man killed himself, died inadvertently while indulging in autoerotic asphyxiation, or was murdered?
Poor old David. I'm sorry.
