SERVER UPGRADE FUNDRAISER — Thanks to all of the contributors who kindly pitched in, we reached and exceeded the $1000 goal and raised a total of $1171! This should definitely cover the setup fee and migration costs. I'll be ordering the new server within the next couple of days, after deciding on a specific configuration. SERVER UPGRADE FUNDRAISER — As some of you may know, I've been needing to upgrade the server this site is hosted on for a while, so that it can handle those high-traffic days that currently bring it crashing down. Because prices have come down since I got this current server, my monthly fee would actually be less for a completely new, more powerful server. The only thing in my way are the one-time costs — the setup fee for the new server, and the extra cost of running 2 servers at once for up to 2 weeks while everything is migrated from the old server to the new server. In total, this could easily cost up to $1000.
As you know, we're always in need of donations to help cover costs, but what I'm aiming for at the moment is a fundraiser to cover the upgrade costs, with a goal of $1000.
